Date/Time error
Dear all
I forgot to change the date/time in the files before I did the import. I tried altering the dates in the files IPTC and EXIF data with the tool "exiftool" which worked fine. However, the date is not imported in capture one? Is this information stored in the database? And can I force an update on the database?
Or do I have to look for other options? I already did a lot of editing, so I really don't want to do this again.
Regards,
Preben

I tried editing the time stamp of a file and then clicking on load metadata in Capture One and there is no update.
It looks like Capture One uses the actual file creation date/time rather than the capture time Time Stamp
Also it looks like there are no tools to adjust or offset the time of files in Capture One.
Lightroom lets you change the the timestamp. Either set it to a particular time or even better offset the time stamp by a determined amount. This can be done to a single file or in batch. You can do this at any time of your editing and the files will be time sorted with the new time stamp.
Image creation time stamp is normally kept unchanged and the time stamp is adjusted if needed due to unsycronized cameras or something like that.
If Capture One uses the file creation time rather than the time stamp you may have to find an application that can alter the file creation time, but that could be a risky thing to mess with.0 -
I am almost certain that this is not the case. Each time you copied a file, the create-file-date would change - and the dates are properly imported into capture one!
No ideas anyone?0 -
You could try 'reload metadata' from the Metadata tool. 0 -
Reload metadata does not work - unfortunately!
I also tried the "Reset metadata completions - and this did not work either!
The only thing I have working is.
- Delete reference to image
- Import image and keep the location of the original file
This changes the date, but all my edits are lost - one day of hard work I would not like to loose!0 -
I have also tried to edit the xmp file - adjusting the dates in these - however. The reload metadata. This did not work! 0
