    Hi,

When we click on the Lens Correction icon—C1 v4.8.3—it reports “Unsupported fileâ€.

How do we find out what lens are supported?

first of all you should be working w/ a supported _raw_ file and then current list of lens supported is in C:\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 4\Presets\Lens Correction45 on Windows and I guess similar directory on Mac. Plus I guess own Phase One lenses on Phase One's cameras.

    Tom,
What raw file are you working on? Is it straight from the camera (preferred) or converted first (to DNG)? Lens correction is not reserved for Phase One lenses only but some camera/lens combinations have limited or no support. For example, Canon sRAW has limited support were the same camera (full) raw has full support.

I guess he is talking about DxO style lens support where the combo is profiled by P1 and correction is automatic, or I am wrong ?

    Peter,

“What raw file are you working on? Is it straight from the camera (preferred)?†We shoot with either Canon 40Ds or 5D MkIIs, all photographs are RAW—not sRAW—straight from the camera(s) and not converted in any manner.

Are we correct in assuming the workflow to follow is: Clicking on ANALYZE in the Chromatic Aberration drop down and then using resultant options available to correct for lens distortions? This WF seems to accomplish what we are looking for.

    Thanks for your sage words.

    Tom,
Doing ANALYZE first and further as you described is the correct workflow for lens correction.
