I am aware of the process of creating a new catalog from an existing folder. That will not meet my needs. I want to select folders that presently exist in multiple catalogs and import them into a single new catalog. I have posted a similar question in the past and not received a satisfactory answer. It appears that there is no way on Capture One to easily move images between catalogs. I guess I will create a new catalog from my largest file and then export images from other catalogs and import them into the new catalog.

Well if I understand your question correctly, simply export each folder as a new catalog, then open or create a new catalog and import them back. It's all explained in the link I gave you.

I have no problem exporting the images to folder on my desktop and then importing them into a newly created catalog. I wanted to avoid the two step process. Your suggestion is fine if all of the folders are in the same catalog. However as I understand the process, and as I have tried it, whenever you "export to a catalog" you are exporting to a newly created catalog for that specific export. I have not found a way to export into an existing catalog. The images I want to combine into a newly created catalog are presently stored in multiple catalogs, hence my problem. The two step solution works, I just think it is a little crude.

Open catalog 1, export folder a as catalog f1, close catalog 1.
Open catalog 2, export folder b as catalog f2, close catalog 2.
Create catalog 3, import catalogs f1 and f2.

Isn't that what you want to do? No need for the folders to be in the same catalog.

Yes, I can accomplish it that way that is the two-step process I was talking about. I could also accomplish it without creating a new catalog by simply exporting the images to my desktop and then reimporting. As I said earlier I was trying to find a one step solution and I don’t think there is one. Thanks for your thoughts on these matters.

    You're welcome. Indeed I don't think there's a one step solution, unfortunately.
