How to copy a layer to another image?

    If the source image has only one layer, yes.

    If not, copy all of the layers and delete (or deactivate) the ones you do not want.

    If you want to pick one layer only - No, not possible although you could save the adjustments as a preset/style and then use that on a layer for another image.

    Would be great to handle that in a better way. So you could copy a layer for skin to another image where are other layers inside, too.

    A layer with adjustments or a layer with a mask?

    If with a mask, what sort of mask?

    There is nothing to stop you doing what I suggested before and copying to another image with existing layers.

    If you are looking for a solution to skin tone adjustments in a set shot with common lighting you may find there are different ways to approach the requirement.
