Local Ajustments Saturation?

I love the new local ajustments for landscape work and such, but why is Saturation greyed out in the exposure panel when you are on a layer instead of the background? Exposure, contrast and brightness is possible to toggle but not saturation, is there a reason?

  If You use the color tool you can select the color you want to work with and then you can change the saturation.
