Hey. I've discovered how to do this through trial and error. Still would like an answer on my final post in the "regenerating previews" thread. jp

I requested a Capture Pro enhancement either to allow some scripting interface or some additional internal tool functionality so I could do something like this.

I want to be able to add a matte and also some text to an image.

The ability to 'finish' my images in CP7 would make a huge difference and time saving by reducing my post processing burden.

If you think this is a good idea then please support this by creating an enhancement request on the Support Centre.

    Hey guys,

So I have to be honest, what you are asking for here (while it makes sense) is sort of out of scope for what C1 is intended for. While often images can be completely finished in C1 without any further post production needed, the expected workflow really is that you're going to make your raw adjustments and then move in to a pixel editor (Photoshop) for fine tuning. What you're asking for goes above & beyond RAW processing so... I can't speak for the dev team... but I wouldn't hold my breath hoping to see this as a feature.

Having said that, I have a possible workaround for you.

If you add the information/text you want displayed to a metadata field (such as IPTC Description for example) it would be possible to create a photoshop action that would size your images, add a matte, add the description text from the metadata field and save the file. It would take a little bit of time and experimentation to get it looking just the way you like, but it's absolutely possible.

I know that's not the answer you wanted, but I hope it's useful information just the same.

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for the reply. That may indeed work.
My request to do this is only really derived from the situation whereby Bibble5/Aftershot Pro (ASP) was able to do this and since Corel have completely killed ASP and I have moved to CP7 that i am looking for similar end to end use of CP7. I really dont think that Adobe see their customers as anything except cash cows to be milked. If they released a stand alone version of ACR then I'd be happy as I dont need to spend money for the latest enhancements to Photoshop I just need RAW support for new cameras as I purchase them.

To that end Capture Pro works well and I can use a droplet to add the matte and another to provide placement of the signature. However this is time consuming as it is a custom item depending on picture it is finished in a different colour and size of font.

    Thanks.

Yep - I totally see where you are coming from.

One other suggestion that may be of interest would be to perform your exports using Lightroom. Lightroom does in fact allow some plugin support, and in the past I've used a plugin called LRMogrify (you can find info here: ) to add borders & descriptive text on export.

Of course, this is only useful for files you've already processed out as pixels because LR/ACR won't read any of the adjustments you've made in Capture One. But I thought you might be interested in more options.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Brian, Thanks very much for the suggestion of LRMogrify.
LRMogrify, on Mac, works very nicely in Lightroom but really I dont want to have to go out to another software to do my final finishing. If I did all my work in Lightroom that would work very nicely for me.
I do think that other photo processing software can also do this directly. I think that I might end up using a Photoshop droplet but that in many ways defeats for me the point of using Capture Pro.
I want a one stop shop for all my photo processing and edits. CP7 gives me that except for the final finishing.
