I believe that auto adjust rotation only works with Phase One cameras.

If what you want is for Capture One to straighten (say) a horizon that is not straight, it is very quick and easy to draw a line along the horizon with the rotate tool, and the job is done. Flipping an image can be done very simply with the drop-down in the rotation and crop tool, where you can choose between horizontal and vertical flipping. And if you want to flip multiple images you can copy the flip from one image to many.

Why is it that you need to use auto rotate and flip so much?

Because, Why not? I have a few thousand photos from a weekend of dance recitals. And I'm having to draw a line along the stage to straighten each one. Why do manually (even if it's a simple as drawing a line) when it can be done horizontally? It's taking me 5-10 minutes to do 100-200 pictures manually. It could be 15-30 seconds...

Gotta work on that spray-n-pray technique. 200 crooked shots in a row is something out of this world... 😂

    Edit: oh! thousands!
