C1 keeps crashing just from viewing and deleting files

This is extremely annoying. C1 keeps crashing , either locking up or giving a message saying it has to close because of a problem, when I just view and delete files to clean up image folders. It did this on Windows 7 with 12 GB ram and now it is still doing this with Windows 8 and 24 GB of ram. This was reported over a month ago and they still haven't figured it out. How hard can it be to figure out this problem? Very frustrating!

    If you have brought this up before then this may be redundant, but have you tried turning off OpenCL from pref's? That would be my first initial step with the problems you are reporting.

    It happens with OpenCL off as well. I upgraded my video card a few months ago to eliminate OpenCL problems. This memory "leak" is not related. C1 doesn't free up memory when it should. I have 24 GB of ram and it will lock up by the time it has used up about 13 GB of ram, and I still have about 10 GB unused at the time.
