At the bottom of this list is says :

    Recommended for best performance:

NVIDIA: GTX TITAN Z, Geforce GTX780Ti
    AMD: Dual D700, HD7950

is that recommendation for C1 8 or Only C1 7? Are they mac cards or windows cards? Does it matter which OS?

I expect it applies v7 and v8 but hasn't been updated.

Oye! This is a classic case of user/operator error. 🤭

Yes, I found where the hardware acceleration is selectable. It is under the Preferences->General tab. The pull down menus are right in the middle of the screen. I was looking for a tab called "Hardware Acceleration" instead and missed this all together. Both pull down menu items are set to "Auto".

I checked my CaptureOneICP.log file and here is what it reads :

2015-02-10 08:04:55> Logging is now active.
    2015-02-10 08:04:56> OpenCL initialization...
    2015-02-10 08:04:56> OpenCL : found platform Apple, OpenCL Version : OpenCL 1.2 (Dec 14 2014 22:29:47)
2015-02-10 08:04:57> OpenCL : Benchmark previously failed. OpenCL disabled

I checked the article linked by Jim_DK and, unfortunately for me, my humble AMD Radeon 6770M chipset is not listed. ☹️

Thankfully, my system runs fast enough for me. I was just hoping to squeeze out a little more horsepower from my computer. 😊
