I set up copyright in my camera at the start of the year. But I've noticed that the IPTC Status Copyright information in the metadata is set to last year.
If I click the local reset button on the metadata tab, it reverts to what I've set in the camera.

At some stage I must have set something in CO, but I can't find it anywhere.
Is anyone able to shed any light on this?
    Thanks.

Check the definitions of your Output Processes?

    Thanks for the reply.
I'm getting the issue when I import the images.
When I check the metadata after importing new images, the copyright information is wrong (until I press the local reset button).
I've just tried it on another computer and it is keeping the copyright info from the camera, so it is just this computer.

I must have changed a setting somewhere.

You may have set up a Preset (as I do) with copyright information and have that set to be used on import.

Checking the User Presets on the troublesome machine would likely be a good starting point and a quick task.

I'm not at home at the moment to have a look. Do you know where the user presets are found?
    Thanks.

Adjustments>Styles> under there are some options. (Windows here - I assume there is something much the same for Mac.)

You can also get to Styles/Presets through the Adjustments section of the Import tool.

I assume you have checked that the Import Section does not have a saved and recurring entry in the Metadata section based on previous use?

There may be something retained in cache from use last year that needs to be cleared? I'm not familiar with Macs so I will leave others to comment on that.

    Thanks so much!
It was in the import section, there is a spot to add the copyright details.
I can't believe how many times I've missed that.

    Thanks again.

    Easily done.

Things can become so familiar that we often look but do not see.

Our Brains subconsciously filter out the information because it has not changed or not changed significantly enough to be of interest.

Glad you found the source of the puzzlement.
