Import my Lightroom Catalog error

I am trying to import my Lightroom catalog but getting this error "Catalog Import Failed Unable to read the catalog file".
Has anyone else run into this problem? I am following the instructions but still not working....

    could it be the file permissions on the LR catalog ?

    copy the LR catalog to another drive and then try importing from there.

    I happen to run into the same error today. Lr5 is opening the catalog just fine, CO 8.1.1 is not. It did it once, but a few minutes later (in another catalog) not. No solution yet. I suggest you open a support case.

    OSX 10.10.2, CO Pro 8.1.1
