Rotated pix in browsers aren't rotated in Capture One

Man, C1 really sucks! I've got PM, BBPro, Bridge and iView running right now and they can all recognize each others rotated images, keywords, captions, etc. But C1 doesn't see any of it. How could they be so far out of the loop?

    Andrew,

While you are able to browse JPEGs in Capture One,
It IS NOT a Browse software. No editing of JPEGs is possible.

Capture One is a RAW workflow program.
The best there is actually leading the rest in image quality and workflow efficiency.
Use Capture One, and you don't need any other programs.

I guess I didn't specifically say it, (I also never mentioned jpegs) but of course I'm talking about RAW files. In your own words C1 is "NOT a Browse software". So I obviously I need to use a browser to sort images, rotate them, add IPTC info, etc, etc, prior to conversion of selects in C1.

Capture One, as it currently exists, simply cannot compete with a browser like Photo Mechanic for shear speed and ease of use when it comes to tagging, ranking, captioning, etc. I've been reading a lot of posts here and it seems most people use some application other than C1 for their initial edits.

The problem is C1 does not seem to recognize any of the work I do in any of the browsers mentioned above. On the other hand, Camera Raw recognizes everything and passes all info on to the converted tiff files. So if I want to use C1 for my RAW conversions, all the work I do in my preferred image browser rotating, captioning, tagging, ranking, etc, appears to be a waste of time. From my discussions on other forums the problem seems to be that C1 is not compatible with XMP, and won't be for at least another 6 months.

Before you recommend reading the iView/C1 workflow PDF, I've already read it and have posted my concerns about that workflow here already.

I hope that clarifies my question.

    Thanks for your help,

    Andrew

Any comments on this problem? Why is it that changes to RAW file metadata, etc, made in most of these other applications can be recognized by each other, but it is not recognized by C1. Will this be dealt with in a future version of C1?

    Thanks,

    Andrew
