Icc profile won't stick

Michael I reported this to phase one a week or so ago. It also is having issues when attempting to copy and paste the settings as well.

They contacted me back the next day to say they were able to create the same problem in house and are working on a fix.

The work around until fixed is to create a "style" after applying the icc profile. Then apply the style to the incoming shots. You can also do this if you are attempting to copy and paste a icc profile to multiply images.

Thanks Lance, i look forward to the "fix" being available soon and will try your styles option in the mean time.
    Cheers Michael

This is a familiar dialogue they were working on a fix several months ago, also the capture orientation cheated as a style thing has been going on for a very long time. Patience is a virtue I suppose at some level waiting is good for us.

Using the Capture DB 3.7. I'm getting a strange problem with ICC profiles not sticking from one Mac to another. The capturing station has the P45+ profile showing on the color correction panel. Then the other Mac with the same files copied over loose the ICC and says, "Canon EOS ...". Not sure if its suppose to do this? Does the app need to be re installed? And would this be a reoccurring theme with the Capture Pro?

When you copy the P45+ file to the other Mac, do you also copy the adjustment files? Does the other Mac has the same version of Capture One DB? Have you checked whether the selected profile is also available on the second Mac?

Thanks Paul for the reply.. apologies for my late reply.

I looked at the two DB and they are the same version. All of the folder's contents were copied over.
Where should I look for the correct ICC Profiles in the System folder? From what I saw in the Library there wasn't anything to do with ICC Profiles.

Hi David, CO4.x stores the profiles in their application package (Show Contents: Contents/Resources/Profiles/Input). Corrected profiles made with the Pro/DB Color Editor are by default stored in ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles. Note: ~ is shorthand for the user home folder.

Okay, transferring the colorsync profiles from the capturing Mac worked. What worries me is the profiles use to reside in the 2nd Mac ... not sure how this could be removed. Would there be a conflict if using the CO DB and Pro on the same machine?

Do you mean CO4 DB and CO4 Pro on the same machine? Or is it CO3 and CO4?
For your information: CO3 stores profiles in the machine's Library/ColorSync/Profiles folder.

One Mac is using both the CO v3.7.9 DB and Pro

Then the capturing Mac only the DB of Capture One for using the P45 back.

I forgot that you are using CO3 instead of CO4. It was in your original post, but since this is the CO4 forum, I lost track of that fact. I think the CO 3.7.9 DB and Pro are using the same profile folder I mentioned in my previous post.
