    Hello Thomas,

    turn down your color noise reduction setting in the focus tool and you will not see that same type artifact.

    Thank you, that worked pretty well. Although there is some sharp blue pixels in the chroma noise now (not seen in Capture NX for instance, even when NR is off).

    As a second question:
    I find the sharpening pretty unpleasant, it shows sharp artifacts that do not show up as bad in C1's 100% preview. Only in the final JPEG they can be seen.
    Even when Sharpening is turned off completely, the image still looks rough.

    C1 LE 3.77 and Capture NX (no USM but regular sharpening there) produce visible but soft and film like grain/noise. C1 4 produces harsh and rough grain.
    Even if I use C1 4's Sharpening preset "Version 3.7 - Soft look".

    Compare it in the images I posted.

    This is the closest I could come:
    (Sharpening 100 0.5 0.0, Noise Reduction 30 30)
