    The Nikon WT-4 can run in 2 modes: PTP and FTP. With FTP you can use Capture One. You upload your images with the WT-4 to your computer to a folder of your choice. In Capture One you point the program to open that folder and enable the hot folder option. Now you want it not only to auto refresh but also auto select new image. That option is also available in the Camera menu of CO4/5.

    It appears that one can not control the camera shutter etc. though?

    No, not from Capture One. This is proprietary stuff Nikon holds for themselves and you need Nikon software (Camera Control I assume) for that and run in PTP mode. But you can combine technologies: Camera Control and Capture One.
