    Hi,

    I don't know about .afphoto.
    But maybe you can do this itself, If you have a Mac you can create a file with this schema :

    cat Library/Application\ Support/Phase\ One\ Media\ Pro/Plug-ins/Importers/Custom.txt

    pld |0|PhotoLine Document

    It's a good question for phase one !
    MP does not even work with the own developer software vendors C1.
    how is it then works with the new current Affinity Photo of the market .

    This is a pretty advanced topic and there is no official documentation for it because it is not officially recommended to manually expand the file support of Media Pro. All sorts of things might happen and we have no way of guaranteeing functionality, stability, performance, etc.

    That said, if you are on a Mac, then you are in good luck, cause here there is a way to manually expand support for .filetypeX given that the user already has a Quicklook plugin installed that is able to read .filetypeX.

    Open the Terminal.app and use the command
    qlmanage -m | sort
    to get an overview of all the Quicklook plugins that are installed on the system. Use this list to identify which plugin handles .filetypeX (some of the names of the Quicklook plugins are not self-explanatory, then use google to find out what it's for).

    When you have identiified the plugin that handles .filetypeX, then right-click the Media Pro.app and chose "Show package contents". Find the file called QLsupport.plist and then add the details of the new Quicklook plugin as a new entry. Relaunch Media Pro, and then now Media Pro should be able to import the filetype that you have just included via the Quicklook plugin.

    I tried this but sadly with no success. The terminal command contained the following:
    com.seriflabs.affinity -> /Applications/Affinity Photo Beta.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/QuickLook.qlgenerator (2.0)
    com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.document -> /Applications/Affinity Photo Beta.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/QuickLook.qlgenerator (2.0)
    com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.document -> /Applications/Affinity Photo Beta.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/QuickLook.qlgenerator (2.0)

    and I copied the "com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.document" piece into the QLSupport.plist and then relaunched Media Pro but found that Media Pro would not import the .afphoto files. Do I also need an importer plug-in?

    I can actually see Affinityphoto in Catalog imprters list, but the type is AFPH.
    And it does not import *.afphoto files.
