Eye symbol

Hi all

I'm new to capture one and running Capture One Pro (for Sony)12.1.4 on my MacBook Pro, so far every thing is good, I'm in the process of sorting and deleting photos and have come across a load of photos taken on my old Canon EOS 200D, now all of these photos have an eye symbol in the bottom right corner, I've found out by searching the forum that these cannot be edited, is this because they are from a canon camera and I have COP (for Sony) or is there another reason? They are all my own photos, there is a copyright notice on them but it is mine. Any help would be great.

    Thanks Grant but i've just got myself a Sony A7RIV so I don't think I will be buying any other make of camera for a while.

    I was only thinking about your probably archive of RAW files.

    Probably not an immediate priority decision!
