Colour Tags
I have searched for this question but couldn't find it...
I really like how easy it is to work on my catalogues without being hooked up to the external hard drive that holds them as I'm using a laptop running Windows 7.
When I edit any images the editing gets carried across when I next connect the external hard drive but... the colour tags aren't carried across.
If I colour tag any edited images off line when I reconnect the external hard drive the colour tags vanish; they aren't carried across in the same way that any editing is.
Is this a 'bug' in Capture One or is it normal?
I'm using Capture One 8.2
Thanks... 😊

Does not look right. Please note that adjustments are not carried across when you connect your external drive. They are stored inside the catalog database and stay there, independent from the connected status of the external drive.
With color tags, maybe you have set the metadata sync option to load or full sync in preferences, image tab. Could you check that?0 -
Thank you for a quick response Paul.
I was very unsure about that section of the Preferences; the Metadata section has Auto Sync sidecar XPM selected as 'Full' and both the other two options ticked.
What would be the 'ideal' setting in the Metadata section?0 -

If you do not have any external IPTC metadata editing (I mean external to CO8), select the default value (click on the default button on the tab for metadata in preferences). Sync will be set to None.0 -
Thank you Paul... 😊 0
