Applying settings to mulitple images in CO4 works in a copy and paste fashion.

First, you apply one or more adjustments to a single image. Next you choose the Copy command (Adjustments menu, Adjustment tab, keyboard shortcut).

Second and optional, you de-select any adjustment you DO NOT want to apply to other image(s) at this time. Review the adjustments from the Adjustments tab.

Last, apply the adjustments to the selected image(s) (Adjustments menu, Adjustment tab, keyboard shortcut).

    Hope this helps.

It is important to hold down SHIFT to apply to all selected.

    Hello Paul Steunebrink,

thank you for your reply. I did try this before I wrote my post. I was able to copy the adjustments and I did de-select the adjustments I did nowant to copy to the other images. But now I had the problem to apply the adjustments to the other images. I had to select each single image to apply the adjustments. Is this the way or is there a possibility to apply the adjustments to a lot of images at the same time?
It would be annoying if I had to pick each image to apply the adjustments and I think this is not a contemporary way.

    EDIT:
Now roine was a little faster than me and did give the answer to my problem.
    Thank You.

The funny thing is that I rehearsed it on a Windows machine (I use Mac primarily) before I wrote my post for you, and I did not had to use the Shift key to apply adjustments to all images selected. I tried it with all three options I described in my post and all with the same result and no Shift key used. Amazing. Maybe it is the newer version??? (4.1.1)

Now the next even more funny thing. It does not work in any way on my computer. It does not care if I use the shift key or not I just can apply the adjustments to the image I click on. The adjustments are not applied to all selected images.
    What I am making wrong?

I'm the same as Paul - makes no difference if shift is held down or not. Adjustments are made to the selected images whenever 'paste adjustments' is clicked.
Akkarin, it may be a stupid question, but are you sure you have the images selected (ctrl-click) and not just showing?

Dear Shift-key users (both lovers and haters), I have to make a minor justification to my last post in this thread.

The CO4 keyboard shortcut command for copying and pasting adjustments always does include the shift-key by default (Ctrl+Shft+C and +V respectively). It does not work without (this is to remind you that CO4 is not a word processor, I assume).
However, when using the other options like the Adjustments menu, buttons at the Adjustments tool tab or the icons on the toolbar: they all work without having to press the Shift-key when I copy adjustments from one image and paste it to one or a selection of images.

My problem is reversed: sometimes I like to apply adjustments to only one image within a selection. Can't be done as far as I know. (Please tell me how to do it).

During the long time without forum I found that I always used the wrong icons to copy or pasting settings. I used the icon in the middle of the screen which changes its image. When I use the icons at the right side everything works fine.

    Greetings,
    Akkarin
