Tethering Crash with D40

On a 10.5.4 OS X system running CO 4.8.3 using a Nikon D40 on tethering. Consistently after shooting 8 shots, the program no longer receives the shots which we take in the tether mode. We have to clear the preferences for it to take another 8 shots before it doesn't function again. Please advise.

    My first shot is to update your system to OS X 10.5.8 unless something is preventing you from doing so. And: do you use an Intel Mac or PPC Mac?

    Create a support case and send us a ScreenShot of your Activity Monitor under "All Process" when the software seems to jam up.
