White balance issue (new user)
I hope I don't embarrass myself with a newbie question, but I am new to C1.
I'm using C1 Pro (sony version) for processing my A7r files. Here's my issue.
Doing a very simple one light portrait shoot (Broncolor), I import my RAW files into C1. Camera settings were set to 'flash' for WB just to establish a fixed value. When the images come in to C1, they all show a WB value of 6989k. Way, way off.
Ok, no big deal then. Onto the image where I included a passport colour checker, use the wb eyedropper to select a grey patch from the bottom and...this is where the problem is. The corrected WB comes out at 6378k.
Being frustrated at this point, I use C1's auto option in the wb tool and that same image now comes out to 5364k. Very close to what it should be.
Doing all of this in Lightroom, images default to 5950k, and the colour checker image using the wb eyedropper, it gets the image right to 5500k on the nose.
I'm very confused. Why would the default WB on my images be almost 1k different on import to C1 vs LR, and why would I be unable to achieve correct WB using the C1 wb picker?
Any guidance more than welcome and very much appreciated! thank you!

We always use the values from the camera, and display them in the WB tool, so if setting the K value manually on the camera to 5500, you should see 5500 in CO as well.
Just tried on a Color Checker chart Light Grey / White patch from our flash test-shots with the A7r. Here is hits 5885K.0 -
Christian, thank you for your reply.
Have you any idea why I might be getting this odd behaviour? A setting of some kind?
I can try these same files on my install of C1 on my work computer tomorrow and see if I get any kind of difference - perhaps something about my particular Mac is getting in the way.
I do know that a long time ago C1 v5 was installed on this machine and there were problems. I wonder if there are possibly bits of it, libraries or some such that could be getting in the way. I wouldn't know where to look but it's a theory?
EDIT: I just tried these files on my Macbook Air and the issues are identical. ☹️0
