Exceptionally Slow response on all local adjustments
Extremely slow responses to local adjustments on Capture one Pro 7.
When an adjustment is made it can take up to (20 seconds to respond and then sometimes over cooked).
The b/w cog wheel always appears as acceptance the adjustment hads been made (sometimes two of them on the same screen) after adjustments made.
I have checked the usual i.e, space left on the hard drive... in this instance 260Gb available so it ain't that...
I have been over the instructions and forums but all to no avail..
This is driving me crazy ! 😁
Kindly assist me on this as I do have some pressing manipulations to make for Clients..
I am well pleased with Capture thus far (except for this glitch)..it's the best software I have encountered.. All the others cannot equal it.. 😲
Note: I had this problem with Aperture a few years ago...we have not used it since.

The speed of the layer mask is really going to depend on your system.
Can you elaborate on the specs of your machine?0 -
OS X version 10.9.3
2x2.26 Ghz Quad Core INtel Xeon
Mem. 8gb 1066 MHz DDR3ECC
Mackintosh HD
ATI RADION HD 4870 512MB
OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)
This problem has only recently occured. Have also recently added you updateto 7.2.2.
Urgnet help needed to resolve here.0 -
For urgent commercial purposes I would suggest that you create a Support case.
It is what I would do in the circumstances and should be more effective that posing the question in a user to user forum.
On the other hand some things can be so obscure that only another user who has had the same experience can provide useful information.
Nevertheless I would always create a support case for the circumstances you have described.
HTH.

I second Grant's suggestion to create a support case.
I think the issue may very well be the system itself as, best I can tell, it is a 4+ year old MacPro and you're using a stock 7200rpm drive. Odds are, performance is not going to be the greatest.0 -
I have read your response to my problem.
What I fail to understand is CP worked beautifully on all occasions. It was responsive and the local adjustments were really fast. Then, on the same day all these problems arose....
Perhaps I should try to go backwards to version 7.2.0. which is the update all worked very well.
It may be the 7.2.2. update threw my "old" comp into disarray ( tho everything else on it works beautifully including Lightroom 5 & then 5.5)
If my comp was that old and not then Lightroom would have the same problems, but it does not..
I still feel CO is out of sorts and poss needs a simple re-download...
I can try to backdate the update if I knew how,,, or perhaps you could help on this.
I will not abandon CO yet as I think the software is the best yet on the market...
Looko forward to your reply on this one.. Urgency is still of prime importance..0 -

Hi,
Please be aware that this is a user-to-user forum and that for a direct response from Phase One support you need to create a support case. Urgency makes it even more relevant to take that step.0
