CO and Canon save on card
I have 6.2.2 on Mac OS Lion and I have a Canon 5D MkII. Is there a way to save the images to the card while doing a tethered capture with CO?

No, to the contrary. General advise given here is that it is best to use an emptied card or no card at all in your camera when shooting tethered to Capture One Pro. I prefer the empty card option. But YMMV. 0 -
1. A backup is always a great idea. A make up artist once tripped on the tethering cord and the laptop flew off the tethering cart. Hard drive was dead. Good thing I had the images on the card because I was tethering to Lightroom
2. A couple of days ago a model blinked a lot as I shot. I had to turn my head back to the laptop all the time to see the image. It's a waste not to use technology, like the LCD screen on the back of a camera.
I don't see an advantage of not having an option of not saving to the card.0 -

It was not sold as an advantage. 😉
It is the current state. And yes, your examples make a valid point, no doubt. You can do a feature request in a support case with Phase One (through the web site).0
