Can you turn it off using a User Preset?

Thanks, good point. Does indeed work but it takes so long that I am faster doing it manually and as the computer seems to be completely "frozen" I can't do anything else. Activity monitor is showing a red C1P with "not responding" but if you wait long enough it eventually recovers.

If not applying CA correction can be saved in a prest, can't you select that preset when importing? Or am I missing something?

Preset when importing does work. However I already have converted libs with several ten thousand photos from Aperture to C1P and all photos have CA correction turned on. As the catalogs are rather slow I would like try speeding them up with turning CA correction off and so far this seems to be not possible within reasonable time.

Someone recommended to switch off chromatic aberration (correction) in order to increase speed in the initial editing.

It maybe helps speeding up editing but are you sure that once the previews are build and once the thumbnails are there that turning off CA would speed up your catalog or viewing experience?

Depends on the order of processing but as lens correction does "distort" the image I would expect that PhaseOne does put all lens correction calculations always close to the end of the processing chain and as these calculations are time consuming I would like to switch them off until I really need them.

Still not clear what your theoretical problem is.

So, they are already imported and have thumbnails and previews, or am I wrong? CA correction (as any other adjustment) won't be executed again unless maybe you export them or make additional adjustments.

And for new images you don't have CA to switch on until the very end of your adjustments, if you think that speeds up your work.

    No?

    Cheers
