EXIF color space & embedded icc don't match
I own a Canon Powershot G2, and the EXIF info of raw pictures developed to JPEG with Capture One 3.7 come out with the tag \"color space\" specifying \"sRGB\" even though CO is embedding Adobe RGB (1998) (as specified in the Process Tool).
Since CO does tinker with the EXIF metadata (such as adding the \"software\" tag, or detailing ppi), it should set the \"color space\" to whatever output it is aiming (since we already know that the \"color space\" specified in the original file is of no importance when dealing with raw files).

I believe you are missing the concept here.
Let me brake it down for you.
1. EXIF is always generated by the camera.
in this case the G2 is shooting a RAW file it has in reality not a colour space when this is a RAW and not a developed file (Jpg or Tif)
2. In capture One you can choose any RGB or CMYK out put destination you want.
I sure see you point in changing the colour space that to match the attached colour space but for now you can request this feature through the software (Help -> Provide feedback)0 -
Your post scriptum seems to imply that you do understand I am not missing the point, but anyhow thanks for the explanation.
The fact is that while of course the EXIF info is generated by the camera, CO adds some more EXIF info to it, so it would seem trivial to tinker with the \"color space\" tag when exporting to JPEG and thus make the metadata coherent with what it is describing.0 -
I do agreee with you but there is a difference between adding EXIF and changing EXIF.
But I do believe we are on the same page.0
