C1 Pro 8.1.1 - Color Editor on smaller screens
First time posting, but after some frustration of the color editor not opening both in the color tool tab and in the local adjustments tab, i started looking into why. Unfortunately there wasn't much information both on the forums and online so i kind of had to piece things together.
It should be noted what frustrated me the most is the color editor only glitched up on my 13" windows 7 laptop and never on my mac desktop running 20" monitors. The specs on my laptop are as follows
Windows 7 64bit
Core i7 vPro
Intel HD graphics 3000
8gb of ram
128gb SSD
After reinstalling, restoring defaults, updating all drivers the issue would randomly come and go but more times then not i couldn't get the color editor to work without undocking it and making it a floating panel.
Tonight I think I found the cause of this issue and its the screen resolution of my laptop which is 1366x768. The tool tabs aren't scrollable when it comes to the color editor. creating a seperate tool tab and putting in the color editor allows it to open properly, to test this theory I started removing tools from the local adjustment tab and sure enough after enough tabs were removed the color editor opened up properly in the tab.
I'm curious if anyone else that has had this issue on smaller screens (both mac and pc) could test this out and see if this works.
If this does work and resolve the issue for others then Phase One needs to be informed of this bug and have it resolved.

the systems requirements according the release notes are amongst others a "Color calibrated monitor with 1280x800, 24-bit resolution at 96dpi screen ruling". Since your system isn't fulfilling this requirement, you cannot really talk about a bug.
However, what you probably can do is to undock the color editor (just drag it from the tab). That works for me...0 -
must have missed that part in the requirements.
thank you for clarifying. still seems silly to me that every other tab works properly except for the color editor. seems adding a simple scroll feature to the tabbed group area would cure this and allow this amazing software to be used on a wider range of screens.
what i did was simply created a custom tab and put the color editor in there on its own. and removed a few other tools that i don't use regularly from the local adjustments tool tab. this has fixed my quelm with the color editor.
thank you again.0
