Sorry Keith this is not clear to me-
The second thing that is not clear is that in the preferences (update) tab it shows two updates... one for 6.2 and the other for Nikon D3s. But I do not see a way to update it, on that there are updates- The newest version is 6.2 and I am on version 5 and not ready to upgrade, so downloading the latest program is not on the list yet... getting this camera profile is. I shoot w/ a D3s.
More info here would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    doug

If you like to stay on CO5, you can neglect the CO 6.x upgrade listed in the preferences. The Nikon camera is registered in CO when you shoot tethered. The reason behind this is that the Nikon (same for Canon) software component in CO relates to the firmware in your camera. That is why Capture One and Phase One are monitoring this.

Long story short, CO5 notified you of the existence of a firmware update for your DSLR. Downloading from the Nikon site and installing it is are processes not performed with CO but done separately by you (or whoever you ask it to do).
