    Ulf,

I mean a MAJOR upgrade. One that actually will use up one of my 5 upgrades. 😊

Well in my opinion Phase One should have charged for it a while ago.
Both in 3.6 and 3.7 version and even more now for the Mac users when they are doing major work to implement support for Mac's with Intel processors, which ofcourse does not affect Windows users but still....

You should see it like this, the longer they hold out on charging for updates, the longer you will have available updates!

    Ulf,

I'm not trying to be a pain in the a....., but I'd rather have a major upgrade and use one of the updates.
So.....the answer to my question about a \"major\" upgrade would be......?

    Ofcourse you are right.
I believe you are right and major upgrade will be 4.0 but there has not been given a official release date yet, only estimates.
Only thing I can say at the moment is later this year.
Keep in mind that we are talking about a completely new re-written version of Capture One.

    Ulf,

Thank you. A completely rewritten version would be fine 😄

.......and will version 4 allow adjustment of the histogram sliders using the arrows keys?

    I hope so!

    Hello,
I must strongly protest on Ulf statement on previous updates. I have owned CO for more than two years (win version). From the beginning I had the SE version but when SE was dissmissed I received LE. The most important change I noticed is that I can no longer perform a free rotation (with the linjal). I would kindly ask Ulf to inform me on the major updates/improvements I got?
Now I have a feeling that other raw convertors are passing CO which once was the leader.

Other converters certainly release more frequent updates and are more responsive to bugs. New integrated RAW/DAM solutions like Lightroom and Aperture and certainly going to heat up the competition even more. I hope CO 4 is a killer release, because Apple and Adobe are going to do everything they can to best it, and they have the resources to really shine. Judging from the buzz in various forums, a lot of people are frustrated with CO and are very open to alternatives. Here's hoping CO 4 delivers.

    Thomas:
You as a SE customer had the option to go to PRO or LE
Difference was with the PRO you would only get one major update and with LE you would get 2.
You made the choice to go to LE with few functions instead of PRO with more functions.
