select all editing
Hello all. I must really be missing something here...
I know how to select a group of images, obviously, and I understand the concept of variants and copying image settings, but how do I apply edits to a group of files AT THE SAME TIME? I should be able to shift-click a group of images and edit them simultaneously. Currently it's just selecting them, yet only highlighting one at a time, only allowing me to modify that particular image. i've just updated to version 4.6, and I understand the new "edit primary only feature" which states that "when this option is off, changes made will affect all selected variants", yet I still don't understand how to do this.
Thanks for you help.

Applying adjustments from one image to another image or selection of images works in a copy/apply fashion. Not sure from reading your post whether you already got this 'concept'.
So, you select an image (source), do Copy Adjustments from the Adjustments menu (shortcuts are available), select the target image and do Apply Adjustments.
Applying to multiple images works in the same way. No shift-key involved anymore, just enable 'Edit Selected Variants' if that applies to your situation.

No, I want to select multiple images and edit them all simultaneously.
For example, if i have 10 different images that i want to overexpose by 1/2 stop, I should be able to select them all and the apply the exposure change to them at the same time (like i can do in Adobe ACR). Applying the exposure change, copying it, and pasting it into the other images adds an extra, unnecessary stop to this process. I want to see image edits to multiple images in real time by moving sliders, not by copying from one and pasting to another, especially since C1 still lacks a "preview" toggle. Is this possible or am I still expecting too much from this software?0 -
Tom, sorry I did not read/understand your first post properly. To cut a long story short, the requested feature is not available in CO 4.6 (unless I have overlooked something; just looking again... no, not possible). You can do a feature request in a support case if you like? 0
