Tethered Shooting with Canon 50D
I've read the earlier post about the lack of tethered shooting support with the Canon 5D mark ll but I just wanted to chime in with my complaint about the same lack of support for the Canon 50D. This camera has been on the market for about 6 months!
I use a PhaseOne back in my studio and loved the fact that I could shoot with a Canon dSLR tethered to my laptop on location using the same software. In fact that was one of the reasons I decided to go with Canon in the first place. Now i hear about tethered support for Nikon camera's being released before new Canon releases. Great, but that doesn't help me out one bit. I need this fixed today.
Phase, you have an obligation to support your loyal customers and we don't want to hear about problems with Canon. Let's get going and give us the professional tools we need to do our jobs.
