Merge file into one catalog

Ive recently returned from North Devon
I have one sd card with one DMC folder and three different folders within my sd card that I would like to merge all three into one catalog? how is this done, also I have marked all the files I would like to work on with 1star is their a way to merge these files on to one catalog.

I do hope this makes sense more questions coming

    There are quite a few ways to import images into a catalog........no one right way really.

    Does the catalog already exist or are you creating a new one?

    Do you want the image files from the three different locations to end up residing all in the same physical folder, or three separate folders on your hard drive?

    What did you use to assign them a 1 star rating? You may lose that rating when you import them depending on how that was done.
