Copy adjustment layer
Can I copy an adjustment layer from one image and paste it into another image?

Yes and no. It depends on image source, type, and sometimes orientation, too. I don't know how good it works. I'm not too familiar with it. But I do know that it removes all existing layers and puts the copied layer(s) in place.

I just want the layer where I removed sensor dust applied to the other images from the same batch (same orientation). How do I do it? 0 -
If it works, this is the way:
In the 'Local Adjustments' tool,
+ click the double arrow and copy the 'Local Adjustments' to the 'Adjustment Clipboard'. Then paste to the other images,
or
+ click the double arrow and apply to all selected,
or
+ <SHIFT> + click the double arrow to apply to all selected.

Hi Maggie,
To remove sensor dusts by batch, there is also the solution of using the tool LCC (Lens Cast Correction), located in the Lens tab tool. But I haven't done it yet, as I don't have any dust and all my lenses are perfect 😄
I think you could have a look at the online user manuel or through the web. Luckily, there are some youtube videos on the Phase One website (or elsewhere).

Instead of using an adjustment layer you can use the spot removal tool, in the detail tool tab, and remove all your dust spots from one image then select all the other photos you want to apply this to and use the global copy and apply functions to apply the settings to other pictures. Or if you want to copy only the spot removal setting and not the global setting use the copy function specific to the spot removal tool (it is the two sided arrow icon in the spot removal tool bar). 0 -

This indeed works, BUT, it copies ALL adjustments layers. Suppose you've a range of image with local adjustments (not all the same), then change one or add an extra layer and now you want to apply this layer to the other image... then you can't use this.
What's worse is that you can't use "presets" on the tools in an adjustment layer. Don't ask me why, cause it would make perfect sense (to me at least).

I agree with you, this is the most logical way to do it for me, and leave adjustments layers for...adjustments... 😊0 -
