I am having very similar problems. I am shooting with 1ds Mark III

Today, we lost all files in two sessions. Half-day of product work.

We could not quit the program on repeated occasions and had to hard re-boot the machine.

We had issues with tethering all day--even after upgrading. 4.5.2 seems very unstable in comparison to earlier version.

I am putting the issues out to see if other are having similar problems. Apparently it is not just my studio.

Lee/Marc, have you created a support case with Phase One already? The more information they have, the better the odds to solve this. Thanks.

No, Paul. Tried to get through the tool on the website but even it seems buggy. However, I am continually sending in crash reports when I can and if I don't have to do a hard boot on my machines. The software worked wonderfully today when using one of my Phase One backs. Unfortunately, I cannot trust the software when shooting with DSLR or when downloading from CF cards. i must say that I am highly discouraged by 4.5.2 and I hope that the issues are quickly resolved. I have used C1 for 8 years and I would like to keep it as part of my essential workflow.

I'm having the same problem. Updated and was working fine than it stopped. Now every time I plug the camera in it crashes.

Losing files is a serious issue for me. Like to know the update.

So far I'm back using 3.7.9

We have corrected any potential loss of files due to disk caching in 4.5.2 so when it comes to this as long as you are on 4.5.2 is should not be possible to happen (unless ofcourse you shoot to firewire drive and do not unmount the drive before plugging it out)

When it comes to crash upon connection it is almost always due to some other application in the background launching and grabbing the camera. At least on the systems I have seen.
Also it is known on pre 10.5.5 systems (make sure you are all the way up on 10.5.5)

I just Installed Capture One 4 4.5.2 on my Leopard 10.5.5 Mac Pro quad core with Nvidia 8800gt gpu. On startup from the applications folder the program crashes. I am not even using a tethered 1D mkIII.

I have repaired permissions and also I reinstalled Capture One 4 ( Non Pro edition).

Still crashing on startup. I have a dual monitor setup as well.

I was hopeful that things would be better for this update.

Some day i may go for the Pro version.

    Cheers,

It looks like the update had not activated properly.
Today I activated the program with the program key and it crashed on start up once but seems fine now.

    Cheers,
