Can the root image files be accessed from the Reader?

I am creating a catalog of 6,000+ images for use in our office. I have the images saved in both RAW and JPG formats. The plan is for my coworkers to download the Reader, so that they can browse the collection, without having access to the orignial RAW files. Ideally, it would be helpful if they could access and use the JPG images directly from the reader. Is there a way to link the thumbnails in the Reader to the JPG files on the server? Any other ideas that might work?
