panels need on/off checkbox
the temporary option click on the reset arrow isn't suffiecient b/c it only resets to the last move
if I'm doing noise reduction and moving sliders around - i want see the comparisons between on and off - not always the change from the last time i've moved the sliders. if slider is at 25 then i move to 45 and then do the option-rest it shows me 25. what if i want to go from 45 to 0? (w/o manually moving the sliders) i can save presets of every move but that is very tiresome.
dont make me check out lightroom or camera raw again - i remember those programs having checkboxes - much easier workflow.

you could always clone the variant and then make adjustments on one and have the before and after in the two up. 0 -

Nope - sliders, just like Cap One, Edward. No "on/off switches".0 -
in LR you can toggle a panel on and off and in CR there is definitely a preview checkbox 0 -

i would say that is not an ideal way to work.especially when wanting to go back and forth with alot of different corrections.0 -
I thought you wanted the ability to toggle an effect off an on, Edward - you can't do that in Lr or ACR. 0 -

Just to Clarify, it is not using the "last value" it is the default values that it goes back to. For most tools this is the 0 or "off' setting. For noise and sharpening though we have a default that is not 0.0 -
yes - noise reduction was where i was getting really frustrated with this.
on these ISO 800 Canon files having the right amount of NR is crucial.
so - if I reset defaults to 0 - would that in effect enable a true on/off preview?0
