Labels not transferring when session moved t
We have been shooting an ongoing job consisting of two days a week for the last four weeks. After each two day shoot I am moving the capture folder which contains only the captures for the individual two day shoot which happened that week from my laptop to my Mac Pro tower.
The problem is my labels are not moving when I transfer the folder containing the captures from the weeks shoot. Each week has been given its own capture folder.
I am thinking that the metadata for labels must live somewhere else other than the capture folder… So my question is how can I move the label data over with the captures? Thanks for any help.

Did you move the capture files only, or the entire folder including the CaptureOne subfolder?
What do you mean by labels? Star rating, color tags?0 -
I have created 4 different folders for a series of days. I am moving one of these folders at a time.. I am referring to color tags. Where does the color tag info live----? 0 -
are you using sessions (good) or catalogs (not good)?
I find it is very dangerous to break up a session especially through Finder. If you separate the capture folders from the .cosessiondb file issues can happen.
Best practice is to have a session per day/job and backup that whole session.
Then if you make any adjustments to your master session for a job - you then sync the session to the backup with ChronoSync.0 -
For added security of your Color Tags, Star Ratings and other metadata, have Capture One sync an XMP for each image.
A copy of the necessary tags will be in that XMP for Capture One, or any other software, to read.0 -
Updating to 7.2 has fixed the issue! Thanks for the suggestions. Love this software! Hoping that 7.2 will be the last update for a while. 0 -
updating to 7.2 shouldn't have anything to do with it - maybe Drew would have some insight in that. 0
