How to decrease thumbnail size (and catalog file size)

    Not much feedback on the forum, i can not help you either.

    To reduce the thumbnail size stored in the catalog file you need to change the thumbnail size in the presets, not in the display view. Then view all images, select all, cmd-B.

    That would do the trick.

    Indeed, Benny12, this does the trick. Thank you very much. 😄

    For some odd reason, the "preset" as you called it, is in the "Edit" menu. I switched it to "variable" and then zoomed out so that I have reasonably small thumbnails in the display. I am "rebuilding" all of them and the catalog file now shrinks significantly from 1.8 GByte to 1.1 GByte.
