Wacom tablet
Hi - I'm watching old webinars & he's mentioned wacom tablets a few times. I have no experience with tablets & stylus. Is it worthwhile? easy to use? best model to get? downsides? Thanks.

If you are primarily just using sliders to make adjustments then a tablet is of no real importance. If you do a lot of work with brushes such as creating masks, dodging/burning, cloning, etc then a tablet is invaluable. It might take a few days to get used to the tablet but once you do I doubt you'd ever go back to a mouse for these things. I still use the mouse just not for photo editing tasks beyond moving sliders or spot removal.
The best tablet for you is probably related to your budget. I'd recommend the Intuos Pro line, medium size. I bought the large version of the Intuos 4 and I find it takes up a lot of desk space considering that the actual area I use on the tablet is pretty small. If anyone wants to buy a used large Intuos 4 let me know 😊
Can't think of any downsides, in fact I've thought about adding a small version to travel with my laptop.0 -
