Trouble Importing Sessions to Catalog

    Workflow should look like this:

    Session Import
    - open a catalog in CO7
    - File menu > Import Session (not: > Import Images)
    - in the Open dialog, browse to the session folder and select the session file (*.cosessiondb)
    - click on the Import button
    No images are shown yet.

    After Import
In the User Collection section of the Library tool you now will find you session imported as a Project. The project container is named after the imported session and contains the session folders, session albums and session favourites (depending on their existence in the original sessions).
In the Folders section of the you will notice the the images are imported as referenced, not fully managed, which means that the originals still resides in their original location only and are not copied to the catalog file.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the detailed reply. That is the workflow that I am following however, the images never seem to generate and the Project remains empty. This morning I deleted the Session completely and made another session with the same files. After rebooting Capture One it worked just fine. I didn't do anything differently that I am aware of.

Anyway, it appears to work and I'll chalk it up to an issue with that particular session.

Thanks again for taking the time to help out with the great answer. It's very much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Larry

Great it works now. A session file could have become corrupt. This can result in a failed import.
