Hi - I'm haven't used C1 since a very early version but now I'm trying to use it again (vers 4). I'm trying to follow tutorials but run into a few basic problems - my tool don't float - they won't drag. Also wanted to put tools on separate screen - but I have no 'workspace' option in the 'window' menu.
    Am i missing something?

It seems like you are running with the basic version. Configurable workspaces are only available in the PRO version. If you have any trial period left, you can try the pro version for free.

Try Capture One 5 Pro. It has a new 30 day trial and more options to customize your interface.

agreed and interface can really be customized!
    I have a 2 monitor set-up with C1 5 pro, thumbs and tools on a 17" monitor and main view on a 30" monitor.
Everything is fine except that when I go on the left part of the main view with the mouse, I get an overlapping tab with tools coming. I have to click on it to make it dissapear. I don't need it as I have all the tools I wish in my palettes (not floating) on the other monitor…
Any ideas to get rid of that tab I haven't invited for lunch?

    I want your lunch!
With the main viewer (the one you don't want the tools to pop-up anymore) active (click on it) you go to the View menu, Hide Tools.
