Strange Arrow

Hi, recently upgraded to C1 5.1.2 and today when I go to click on a thumbnail to open it, the cursor is different, a short stubby one, and clicking it does not open any photos. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Probably something simple, but I can't see it! ☹️

  Does it change when you select a different cursor tool? The hand (Pan tool) for example?)
