Update killed my user Process Recipes

CRISIS AVERTED!! Thanks for bearing with me. Several tense moments later, I'm answering my own question.

First of all, YES... your user/custom Process Recipes are stored in the following folder:
    ~/[user]/Library/Application Support/Capture One/...

Most of my current Process Recipes had been created in version 11.x and were contained in a subfolder called "Recipes110". However, during the update from version 12.0.2 to 12.0.4, Capture One Pro decided to completely delete not only my folder of recipes, but also a number of other folders containing presets, styles I'd purchased or created, batch routines, workspaces, etc.

Knowing this, I was able to find and restore all of these folders via Time Machine.

I also needed to take the additional step of copying my recipes from the older "Recipes110" folder to the "Recipes120" folder. I don't know why; the older folder must have always worked for previous 12.x updates. At any rate, after a few informal tests all things seem to be functioning normally now.

I hope this helps other who may have had the same issue. And I hope the developers get to know about this so that updates don't simply DELETE user folders and data to return to a default state.

This being primarily a User to User forum I would suggest that you create a Support Case and tell the Team that you had the problem.

I would imagine it is not something that others have seen - or if other have seen it then they have not mentioned it here in the forum.

But I wold certainly let Phase know through the official channels just in case there are situations that affect the update process which applied in your case and may apply to others.

Thank you, Grant. I did so immediately after posting about the issue here.
