This is indeed the way to do it and it is very simple until you want to change the font or its size; I am yet to figure out how do this and have a post on this forum on how to do change the font and/or its size.

You select the font simply by clicking on the "…" button next to the name of the font in the Watermark tab. This will open the standard OS X font dialog where you can select the font, size, style, etc. Any changes will be automatically reflected in the watermark displayed on your pictures.

I know about this and have tried it many times.

But how do I exit the OS X font dialog committing the changes, each time I exit the dialog I end up with the same font and size I started with. I cannot find a way of applying the changes, what am I missing?

That's weird, because the changes should be applied immediately and closing the font dialog shouldn't change it back to the previous settings. That's how it works here on my machine.

Are you saying the font you select is not accepted or that the size that appears on the watermark text image size does not change even if the selected font size is correctly retained?

Not being able to select a new font would be a different problem to the visible size not changing on the screen or output.

Remember (you may already be completely aware of this) that your image, especially if using cropping frequently, may be a very large or a very small "page of paper" in text size terms. And fonts have limits for usable scaling (or at least apparent visual scaling) in such situations whether using pixels or points.

    HTH.

Both the selected font is not accepted and the size always remains at 300 which forces me to use the minimum possible scaling 25 and the resulting watermark is still too big.

    P.S.: Using C1 9.0.3 on OS X Yosemite.

I assume you have have tried all of the usual ideas - re-booting application and then the device and so on?

I'm not a Mac person so I can't help further other than to say what you are doing does seem to work on my Windows 7 system albeit it I have not attempted to experiment with all possible variables changing - but I have no previous experience that points to an OS based function (the selection of a font and its size) failing within an application.

Any Mac forums offering any suggestions?
