capture one 5.2 DB windows 7 (64)
I cannot make my P45 back seen by windows 7. It signals when I plugg in my back but it does not install the driver. In Capture One the back is not seen either. I cannot shoot thethered. I reinstalled the old vista driver for the firewire, I run the Vista firewire fix (as an administrator) and I even did run the fix for Windows 7 with big memory (in my case 12 gig)
I downloaded a new driver from Texas Instruments but nothing helps.
Only the old driver makes a beep when plugging in the back. Who can help fixing this problem ?
regards,
Witho

Is there somebody else using a P45 with Windows 7 (64 bit) and large ram memory.
I use for the firewire driver in Windows version 6.1.7600.16385 (older version). I did run the vista fix.
The driver for the P45 is version 1.50.1.34019 and I have run the 'memory fix'. Though I can see the back now in camera's and scanners in devicemanagement it still does not work.I cannot make my back seen in Computer / Devices or in capture one.
Can somebody tell me what driver versions for the P45 and the firewire should work ?

Hi,
I'm using a P45+ on a windows 7 64 bit machine with quad core processors and 8GB RAM. And yes, all sorts of driver troubles. Like you, Windows7 sees the back, but there is a drivers problem. I messed around with it so much I'm not even sure I remember how I resolved it! But I think it was this:
I got all the drivers that could possibly be related and put them in a single folder right in the root of the C drive.
Right clicked on "My Computer" and chose "manage", which got me to the Device Manager.
From there, I right clicked on the P45 and navigated my way to installing new drivers. But when I picked a place for it to load the drivers from, that never worked. Instead I let Windows search the computer for drivers. At this point I walked away expecting to come back to another failure, but when I got back it had found them and installed them. I also copied them manually into the "Windows/system32" folder AND the "windows/system32/drivers" folder.
Don't give up, you'll get there.

Also, are you sure its not the hardware?
