Sharpening values

    Similar but not the same.

Because there are additional things going on under the hood, so to speak, of C1Pro vs Light Room, Photoshop, Aperture, etc it is really never a safe assumption to think that the parametric values will translate 1:1 from one software to another, especially across vendors.

For your photography, one thing that you might be interested to look into would be the Clarity tool. It allows a more selective form of sharpening that can have some very nice effects in C1Pro. You can find a video explaining it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngYonxXoNBc

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated...guess I'll tread carefully with regard to using sharpening in C1 until I get a handle on it, but you're right, there will be differences I suppose due to the different engines, but to my untrained eye I haven't seen anything drastic so far.

    Regards,
