default naming style

when starting new sessions, new capture folders, etc. I always have to go and set my saved user naming style (customname_000) before shooting. or else it defaults to something else which isnt useful. when working fast on set i dont always have alot of time to hold up the shoot so it would be great if capture one could save it as a default. it would be a real world time saving solution. this also goes for the empty name processing bug. that should ALWAYS default to the image name. thanks.

and yes i will submit a support case. someone suggested putting a submit support case button in capture one - thats not a bad idea. 😉

    yes i posted a few times in that thread, I now know how to fix empty name but i still think it shouldn't default to that. my question was that C1P should give the user options to save certain settings by default especially regarding naming. next capture, CF card import, batch rename and output naming each do not really operate the same way with naming. some seem to remember settings most do not. i just want there it be a way to save defaults for each panel like in the application support folder. i know you can make a template session and copy it around but i do not like that solution. the option to save a template with all of those custom settings should be built in somewhere (user's application support folder) like a "canon session" where i can add certain contrast that camera needs, etc. many applications allow you to save custom settings as default and i think C1P as a professional's software definitely should operate like this.

    a template might be nice but i definitely want C1P to have user defined defaults for each and every panel. it would be a lot faster to work with C1P if it remembered my settings as i set them as i opened a new capture folder.
