Forum forgets my login -- how do I fix this? (Mac)

Permanently deleted user
Since March 2014, the Phase One forum has been forgetting my login, even if I check/tick the "Log me on automatically each visit" box. When I navigate away from the site, then return, I always have to enter my user name and password. I've tried deleting and re-establishing cookies -- no difference. Per PO support suggestions, I’ve tried deleting my shortcut/bookmark and replacing it with a bookmark for the forum home page (http://forum.phaseone.com/ ) -- no difference. I experience the problem with both Safari and Firefox (on a Mac), and on both of my computers (running different operating systems: Mavericks and Snow Leopard).

What else can I do to try to fix this?

    They have responded with this before, and said it is the forum software they use, does not work to keep someone logged in. I think the "Notify me when a reply is posted" also does not work.

    PhaseOne's forum software stuck in the 90's.
