moving files from camera to PC (& erasing them from camera)
I just purchased CO 4.8.3 (non-pro version).
When I click the IMPORT arrow, a new window called IMPORT IMAGES appears.
At the bottom of this window, there is an option called ERASE IMAGES AFTER COPYING, with a helpful checkbox that allows you to either select or not select the erase operation.
However, for me, the wordings ERASE IMAGES AFTER COPYING is greyed out, and I am unable to check the box. My preference is for the images in my camera to be erased as they are moved to my PC. Because I cannot check the box, the images on my camera are not erased after they are moved to my PC.
Are you able to enable this function on your Capture One?
Would appreciate helpful pointers on how I may enable this function.

Can't help with the actual problem you are seeing, but from a personal point of view I would NEVER erase any images until I have conformed they are OK and have them backed-up - If you erase at the point of ingestion as you appear to want to, and anything happens to the files at that point, you are stuffed!
It only takes a few seconds to format the card in the camera afterwards.
Just my view on the matter0 -
It works for me only if I insert the card to a card reader. So, C1 may not be albe to access your camera to delete the files. But, as mentioned, I would also recommend to not delete the files but to reformat the card but only after you have checked that the moving or/and copying worked.
Enjoy using C1!0 -
Thanks for pointers.
Formatting the camera card after copying images over to the PC seems like a good idea.0
