Capture One 5 and Windows XP

The requirements state SP3 - does anyone know if this is a preference or an absolute?

I use Windows SP2, as SP3 caused problems with a rather ancient program I need for work - so I am unable to patch Windows to SP3...

  Hi!
  The answer is "NO", SP3 is not critical for Capture One to work, you can go ahead and install it.

  SP3 is a System Requirement.
