CO V12 Catalog Question
I used Capture One up to Vers 7. I left it when Media Pro collapsed.
I have also used Lightroom up to the present Vers 8.
I am trying out CO 12 - and am somewhat intrigued by some of its capabilities. I am trying to develop a workflow where I can use both CO and LR in parallel. LR would remain my main DB for my 130k photos, I would import new photos via LR, I would use it for 75% of my photos, and then use CO on my 25% better photos. As I learn CO12 more, I may drop LR, or at least reduce its workload.
I have tried both Sessions and Catalog. It looks like starting a new CO Catalog might work after I have imported and culled in LR.
Question - is there a way in CO 12 to simply "Remove" a photo from the CO Catalog without deleting it from the hard drive and its folder? If so, I can't find it. If I can do this, I will keep my CO catalogs more manageable.
Thanks in advance.

If you select an image (or some images) and go to the Image menu, you'll find items for
- Delete (move to catalog trash)
- Move to catalog trash
- Delete from disk...
If you choose "delete from disk..." you get a dialog box that asks you whether you want just to remove the image(s) from the catalog or to actually delete it from the disk. Remove from catalog is the option you seem to want.
If you were to choose move to catalog trash, and later go to empty the catalog trash folder, you'd get a similar dialog box asking whether you want to remove the images from disk or just from the catalog.

Perfect. This is exactly what I was looking for. It is the same as in LR, though LR also has a stand alone "Remove" -- which is what I was looking for in CO12.
Thanks very much. I still have to decide how much I will use it, but it it nice to know it is there.

This seems to have been changed in v12.
I only get an option to Delete with the warning, or Cancel. No "Remove".
I try Delete(move to Catalog Trash) it seems to do what I want. It leaves the photo where it is and the LR catalog continues to see it.0 -

Looking at Keyboard shortcuts:
Delete (Move to Catalog Trash) - Ctrl+Del
Delete from disk - Alt+Del0
